This story is about 2 brothers who are doing excellently well in the Spanish La liga, and have gone to become the most important players for their club side, Athletic Bilbao.

The 2 brothers are none other persons but Inaki Williams and his younger brother Nico Williams who both play as striker and winger respectively for La liga side, Athletic Bilbao.

While the former now plays for the Ghana national team, the latter plays for the Spain national team.

The story behind how they were born in Spain is emotional as the oldest brother (Inaki Willaims ) shared the story to Guardian sometimes ago.

He revealed how their parents immigrated from Ghana to Spain barefooted through thick deserts, and how their mother didn’t know she was pregnant with a child who later became Inaki.

Inaki Williams said the reason his parents took that risk of immigrating from Ghana to Spain is because they were searching for greener pastures, and they really suffered but thanks to their thriving footballing career at the moment.

The Williams brothers are doing excently well now as they are now the most important players for their clubside, Athletic Bilabao. Recall; the both of them were born in Bilbao, Spain after their parents fled Ghana in search of greener pastures, but this won’t stop them (Inaki and Williams) from tracing their roots to Ghana as they have visited Ghana once to visit their grandparents and other relatives.

Inaki Williams has pledged allegiance to the Ghanain football national team after being ignored severally by Spain national team, and he made his debut for the black stars of Ghana during the 2022 FIFA worldcup in Qatar.

While Nico  Williams on the other hand was called up by the Spain national team, and featured as a player for Spain for the first time during Costa Rica’s 7-0 trashing by Spain in the last world cup held at Qatar.
