Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, born July 16, 1990, started singing in church as a young boy in Ojuelegba, Surulere. Back then, he was known as Lil Prinz and even formed a gospel group, Glorious Five, with his friends.
Wizkid’s big break came in 2009 when he signed with Banky W’s E.M.E. By 2011, he had already shaken the music scene with his debut album “Superstar” — and the hit “Holla at Your Boy” made him a household name.
In 2013, he launched his own label, Starboy Entertainment, and the rest is history!
