Shallipopi was born Crown Uzama on the 12th of April 2000 in Benin City, Edo state to Mr and Mrs Uzama. The rave of the moment has been doing the music thing for quite a while now but rose to limelight when he released his much accepted breakthrough single “Elon musk” in 2023 which peaked number 1 on the top 100 apple music chart. He followed up with subsequent projects which were also a success as most of his songs are now played across all airwaves in Nigeria.
Shallipopi Career
Shallipopi, like every other artist who didn’t get a record label to sign them, struggled when he didn’t have fame as he was just posting his freestyles on Tiktok and other social media spaces until he got his breakthrough in 2023 with the release of “Elon Musk”.
Personal life
Shalipopi has a brother who is also into music and signed into the former’s record label. Shallipopi who is also known as Pluto Presido graduated from Auchi polytechnic with a computer science degree.
EFCC charges
Shallipopi was involved in a scandal after he was arrested by the economic and financial crimes commision (EFCC) alongside his manager for an alleged internet related fraud case. They were convicted on the 23 june and sentenced to two years imprisonment with option of fine. It’s quite obvious that he perfected his bail, and was released later which helped made him more popular with the release of his prison themed hit single dubbed “ex-convict”
